Blazers win 8th in a row with second consecutive shutout

KAMLOOPS — Dylan Garand stopped 21 shots for his third shutout of the season in the Blazers 4-0 win over the Vancouver Giants.

Orrin Centazzo’s power-play goal early in the first period stood up as the game winner while Logan Stankoven, Libor Zabransky and Connor Zary rounded out the scoring.

It was the second consecutive shutout for the Blazers who blanked Tri – Cities 9-0 on Saturday behind the 24 saves by Rayce Ramsay.

The Blazers lead the B.C. Division by 10 points over Victoria, and are second in the Western Conference — eight points behind Portland and two points ahead of Everett.
