KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers had their highest-scoring game of the season Friday night in a 12-3 win over the Tri-City Americans.

Tri-City, last in the U.S. Division, scored first, just 35 seconds in with Krystof Hrabik beating Rayce Ramsay.

The Blazers were quick to answer on Caedan Bankier’s second of the season.

They added four more later in the first. Zane Franklin on a power play, Brodi Stuart, Inaki Baragano, and Matthew Seminoff, all scored to make it 5-1 after the first.

Max Martin scored on a power play five minutes into the second.

Then the teams combined for three goals in less than a minute — two by Tri-City sandwiched around Josh Pillars 9th of the season.

Before the second was over, Ethan Brandwood and Orrin Centazzo, with his 30th of the season, added to the total. The Blazers had goals from nine different players for a 9-3 lead.

Ryan Hughes, Max Martin with his second and Reese Belton on a power play for his first career goal, completed the scoring in the third period.

The Blazers get goals from 11 different players, with sixteen of 18 skaters getting at least a point, in a 12-3 waltz over the Tri-City Americans.
