Blazers’ Zary appears high on NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings

KAMLOOPS — The NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings came out on Monday, and Connor Zary is listed 12th among North American skaters.

Zary has 25 goals and 28 assists through 37 games. His 25 tallies puts him fourth in the Western Hockey League for goals.

Other Blazers on the midterm list includes 17-year-old forward Josh Pillar, who’s ranked 131st. The Warman, Saskatchewan native has eight goals and 15 assists in 40 games this season for the Blazers.

Goaltender Dylan Garand is seventh among North American netminders. In 34 games played, Garand is 23-9-1-1, has a 2.30 goals against average and a .920 saves percentage
