Interior Health putting call out for design-build teams to work on Cariboo Memorial Hospital redevelopment

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The next steps are being taken in the redevelopment of Cariboo Memorial Hospital.

Interior Health has put a call out for qualified design-build teams interested in building the project.

The health authority’s request for qualifications lays out the necessary qualifications for a team that will design and build the three-storey addition to the hospital — which will also include a basement and renovations to the existing building.

The request will close in March and a request for proposals will be released afterward.

Phase one of the project will begin in 2021 — with work on the new addition expected to finish in 2023.
