MARIAH CAREY TO RELEASE NEW VIDEO OF “ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU” AT MIDNIGHT FRIDAY: Mariah Carey’s classic “All I Want for Christmas is You” video is getting a makeover for its 25th birthday. Mariah tweeted, “I can’t wait for you to see my new video for #AllIWantForChristmasIsYou Tune in for the live stream of the world premiere on YouTube tomorrow at 11:30pm ET! Submit questions for the live Q&A using the hashtag #AllIWantIsANewVideo.” The original video, which debuted in 1994, was shot in a grainy home video style and featured Carey frolicking in the snow in a tight Santa snowsuit. For the new video, she’s in a dress and much more glam. The news comes just two days after the Christmas classic reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a quarter of a century after its release. Royalties from the song have earned the singer an estimated $60 million.

LEWIS CAPALDI NAMED 2019’S HARDEST-WORKING ARTISTS: Lewis Capaldi has been named the Hardest-Working Artist of 2019 by Songkick, the concert-tracking and ticketing platform. Lewis got the title, according to the British-based site, because of the number of shows he played in 2019: a whopping 126. Honorable mention went to Lizzo, who played 120 shows this year. Other hardworking acts this year, according to Songkick, include Hozier, who played 124 gigs, Elton John, who did 113, and rockers Shinedown, who played 118 shows.

WAYNE BRADY AS FOX WINS ‘MASKED SINGER’ SEASON 2: Wayne Brady – dressed as Fox – was crowned the Season 2 winner of the competition series The Masked Singer last night. The comedian and TV personality beat out fellow finalists Rottweiler (Chris Daughtry) and Flamingo (Adrienne Bailon) for the honor. “This has been the coolest, most amazing, most touching, most challenging, weirdest (experience.) And I host Let’s Make a Deal. I’m going to take this with me forever,” Brady said as he collected his golden mask trophy. Among the other celebrities who competed in disguise and were eliminated earlier in the contest were Patti LaBelle, Michelle Williams, Seal, Laila Ali, Paul Shaffer, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Sherri Shepherd, Raven-Symone, Johnny Weir, Kelly Osbourne and Ana Gasteyer. Nick Cannon hosted the show, while Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger served as judges. Rapper T-Pain won Season 1 of The Masked Singer.
