Provincial wildfire service spokesman Skrepnek joining TNRD

KAMLOOPS — The man who was the face of B.C.’s response during some of the worst wildfire seasons in history is moving on.

In a social media post, Chief Wildfire Information Officer Kevin Skrepnek says he will join the Thompson-Nicola Regional District in the new year as Emergency Program Coordinator.

Skrepnek, a Kamloops resident, has spent the past nine years with the B.C. Wildfire Service, coordinating the organization’s messaging to the public during the record 2017 and 2018 seasons.
