Avalanche control closures and a strange travel advisory on Interior highways

KAMLOOPS — Avalanche control work will result in a pair of closures on the Trans Canada Highway in the Interior Wednesday morning (Dec. 18).
The first closure is scheduled for an area west of Revelstoke near Craigellachie between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.
The second closure is slated for an area just east of Revelstoke between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Meantime, the province issued a travel advisory for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt overnight — but not due to weather or road conditions.
