New Chief Financial Officer announced for BCLC in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops-based British Columbia Lottery Corporation has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer.

Alan Kerr will also serve as the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services.

Kerr will be working out of the Kamloops head office starting Jan. 13, 2020.

“We look forward to welcoming Mr. Kerr to BCLC and Kamloops, both of which will benefit greatly from his expertise, leadership and commitment to community,” BCLC interim President and CEO Greg Moore says in a news release. “Alan’s extensive experience in financial and people management will be invaluable to BCLC into the future as we continue our journey to deliver great gambling and greater good.”

Kerr has worked in the public and private sectors, along with the Royal Canadian Navy. He is currently the Vice President of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer for the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, based in Ottawa.

He’s a certified public accountant and certified management accountant.

“Professionally, I am excited to contribute to the leadership of an organization with a strong social purpose and commitment to giving back,” says Kerr in the release. “Personally, my wife Gwen and I are looking forward to contributing to the community of Kamloops and pursuing many of our hobbies including skiing, hiking and golfing.”
