DANNY AIELLO DIES: The Oscar-nominated Do the Right Thing star Danny Aiello has died at age 86. Aiello is also celebrated for his role in The Godfather Part II and Moonstruck; he got his star in 1973 with a supporting role in Bang the Drum Slowly starring Robert De Niro. The character actor reportedly died in a New Jersey medical facility following a sudden illness. Aiello is survived by his wife Sandy Aiello, whom he married in 1955, and their four children.
JODIE FOSTER AS CINDY BRADY? It almost happened, the Brady Bunch cast revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Maureen McCormick, Eve Plumb, Susan Olsen, Barry Williams, Christopher Knight and Mike Lookinland reunited ahead of the HGTV/Food Network crossover special A Very Brady Renovation: Holiday Edition. Olsen dropped the Jodie Foster bombshell: “Jodie Foster was up for Cindy,” she shared.
CAROLINE FLACK CHARGED WITH ASSAULT: Caroline Flack, the host of ITV‘s Love Island, has been charged with assault after an incident at her home in London. Police were called to her home, where she lives with her partner, the tennis player Lewis Burton. A spokesman for the presenter told the BBC, “We confirm that police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident. She is cooperating with the appropriate people to resolve matters. We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons.”
KEKE PALMER AND JOEL KIM SET TO HOST SINGLED OUT: Quibi is rebooting the MTV 90s dating show Singled Out, with Hustlers star Keke Palmer and Sunnyside star Joel Kim Booster as hosts. The series will drop in the Spring. The original Singled Out featured a group of 50 singles trying to land a date with a single contestant. It ran 1995-1998 with Chris Hardwick and Jenny McCarthy as hosts.
