The Royals sparkled!

The royals went full bling Wednesday (12/11/19) night! Several members of the royal family attended the Diplomatic Reception in honor of the Diplomatic Corps, which was held at Buckingham Palace. Kate Middleton was the epitome of grace in a gorgeous long-sleeve navy velvet gown by Alexander McQueen, with an elegant diamond necklace around her neck. She also donned one of her favorite tiaras, the Lover’s Knot, which was a favorite of the late Princess Diana.

But the Duchess of Cambridge was not the only sparkling guest of the royal family: Queen Elizabeth II wore her truly breathtaking Vladimir tiara, which was encrusted with giant emerald and diamond drops. This event marks the start of the Christmas vacation for the royal family, and Middleton will likely not be seen until the New Year. The royals will be spending Christmas at Sandringham Estate in England, but will be missing several members: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their son, Archie, will be in the US with Meghan’s mother, after also traveling to America for Thanksgiving.
