Update: Kamloops’ Brown rink curls past United States during China Open

KAMLOOPS —UPDATED: Kamloops’ own, Corryn Brown curling rink has earned another victory while in Beijing for the China Open.

Team Brown defeated the United States 10-3, to go to 1 and 2.

The group is one of eight rinks playing for a purse of $100,000.

PREVIOUS: The Corryn Brown rink is in China for the China Open — eight rinks playing for a purse of $100,000.

The Kamloops rinks is the only one from Canada and played Korea in the opening draw.

The Kamloops Crown of Curling winners in October took a 5-1 lead to the 5th end, but it came apart after that.

Korea scored two in the 5th and then stole the next three ends to win 7-5.

The Brown rinks next game is against Switzerland.
