Taylor Celebrates Golden Globe Nomination

Taylor Swift is celebrating her 2020 Golden Globes nomination.

The singer took to Instagram on Monday morning to react to song “Beautiful Ghosts” being nominated for Best Original Song. “I woke up today to the news that Beautiful Ghosts is nominated for a Golden Globe,” Taylor wrote. “It’s so cool that one of the most fun, fulfilling creative experiences I’ve ever had is being honored in this way by the HFPA.”

Taylor co-wrote the song with Andrew Lloyd Webber for the upcoming Cats, which will be in theaters on December 20th.

Taylor continued: “I ended up spending many days on set watching the other performers do their scenes. Watching the character Victoria, played by @frankiegoestohayward inspired me so much and Beautiful Ghosts was the result. Congrats to my co-writer and buddy 4 life Andrew Lloyd Webber. This is just purrfect. “

Beyonc (“Spirit” from The Lion King) and Elton John (“Never Too Late” from The Lion King) are also competing for Best Original Song. It’s the third nomination in the category for both Beyonc and Swift; the fifth for John.
