Coldplay Drops Everyday Life Video: Watch Here

Coldplay has shared the music video for “Everyday Life,” the title track and closing cut from the British act’s recently released eighth studio album.

The clip sees the quartet performing the song around the globe in locations such as the Ukraine, South Africa and Morocco. The video premiered on South African community TV station Soweto TV and is now available worldwide on YouTube.

The intro to the video features clips of traditional dancers around the world accompanied by a voiceover that says, “‘Ubuntu’ is a Xhosa word. It means ‘humanity,’ direct translation. So basically, you’ll always need the next person. You know what I mean? So one hand washes the other, the one hand does need the other to clean. That is Ubuntu. To help others, your brothers, your sisters. Even when they are strangers and you don’t know them, you are supposed to help them.”

Everyday Life became Coldplay’s seventh Top 10 album earlier this month as the disc debuted at Number Seven on the Billboard 200 album chart. The LP moved 48,000 equivalent album units, 36,000 of which were physical product sales. Every one of Coldplay’s previous LPs, except its 2000 debut Parachutes, has cracked the Top 10.

To celebrate the new disc’s November 22nd release, the band played two concerts in Jordan which were livestreamed via YouTube. But frontman Chris Martin told BBC News that the band will not go on tour for the new album until they can offer carbon-neutral concerts.
