More than 4,000 pounds of food donated during Kamloops Stuff the Bus fundraiser

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops’s second annual “Stuff the Bus” fundraiser took place this weekend — and it was a success for the Kamloops Food Bank.

BC Transit spokesperson Jonathon Dyck says the organization is thankful for everyone who came out.

“The community really came out to support the food bank in Kamloops and we’re really grateful for all the donations that they brought in,” Dyck says.

More than 4,000 pounds of food was donated at the event.

“That translates into $10,540 in value, as calculated by the Kamloops Food Bank,” Dyck says. “There’s also $2,669.40 in money donations from the public and $1,500 from the BC Turkey Farmers.”
