Blazers’ Zary added to Team Canada tryout camp

KAMLOOPS — Connor Zary has been added to the World Junior selection camp as an injury replacement.

He will miss at least the next two games in Moose Jaw and Regina. If he makes the team then the rest of the road trip and beyond until the world tournament ends January 5. He would be lost for nine games in total.

He is replacing Jakob Pelletier from the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec League.

Zary is third Blazer going to a selection camp — Martin Lang is going to the Czech Republic camp, and Inaki Baragano to Switzerland’s.

The World Junior Tournament is December 26 to January 5th. So the Blazers would be without three players during the start of the second half of the season.
