Volunteers working to ‘Stuff the Bus’ for the Kamloops Food Bank
KAMLOOPS — Those looking to give back to the community have an easy way to do so this weekend, with today (Dec. 8) being the final day for the Stuff the Bus fundraiser in Kamloops.
Volunteers have been collecting food donations over the weekend to fill a BC Transit bus outside of the Columbia Square Save-On-Foods.
Last year’s event raised over 6,000 lbs of food, and this year the City of Kamloops and BC Transit hope to gather even more donations.
All non perishable and monetary donations will directly benefit the Kamloops Food Bank. For every dollar collected during the event, the BC Turkey Farmers will match that amount (up to $1,500) to purchase turkey products for the Kamloops Food Bank.
