Traffic slowed for sections of Highway 1 around Kamloops, Ashcroft areas

KAMLOOPS — Drivers in the Kamloops area can expect somewhat of a delay throughout the afternoon (Dec. 8), as crews work to clear a section of the Highway 1.
According to Drive BC, a vehicle recovery operation is underway between Cherry Road, and Deer Drive west of Kamloops, and a lane is closed in that area while crews are working.
The section is expected to be fully opened by 4:00 pm this afternoon.
(Updated) According to the latest update from Drive BC, another separate vehicle incident which had Highway 1 down to single lane traffic between Spences Bridge and Ashcroft has now been cleared.
