Light snow expected to follow sunny period in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada is predicting snow will follow the sunshine from the start of this week in Kamloops.
However, Meteorologist Mike Gismondi says it’ll be a pretty quiet week for the level of winter weather the local area can expect.
“Generally it should be mainly clear with highs getting up to about minus 1,” he says, “And the weather doesn’t really arrive until through the day or late in the day Wednesday. We’re looking at some snow for the area, but nothing too much in the way of amounts. So probably just some light snow Wednesday into Thursday morning. And then beyond that for the rest of the week it looks fairly cloudy with just some scattered flurries.”
For the rest of the week, Gismondi says the temperature highs should be low enough that the light snowfall will stick around.
