Updated: Power restored for thousands of BC Hydro customers in North Kamloops, Westsyde

KAMLOOPS —UPDATED: According to BC Hydro, power has now been restored to the over 8,000 customers in the Kamloops area previously impacted by an outage.

PREVIOUS: More than 8,200 BC Hydro customers in Kamloops are without power.

According to the power corporation’s website, there are several outages on the North Shore, in Brocklehurst and in Westsyde.

The cause is under investigation.

The power went out in the areas shortly after 3:00 p.m.
