KAMLOOPS β€” Despite a drop in overdose deaths in B.C., drug users are being urged to take caution due to an unpredictable, toxic illicit drug supply.

During September and October, there were no overdose deaths in the City of Kamloops.

It’s a stark contrast to the number of deaths the city has experienced in the past three years. Still, 24 people have died from overdose in Kamloops from January through to October.

The B.C. Coroners Service reports that there were 69 suspected overdose deaths in the province in October β€” a 42 per cent decrease from the number of deaths in October 2018.
