Blazers depart on biennial trip to the Eastern Conference

KAMLOOPS — In the darkness of an early Kamloops Tuesday morning, before the rooster crowed, the Blazers bus loaded for a long road trip.

By the time it’s over the bus will have 4,500 k-clicks or 2,700 miles, on the odometer —- that would be equal to bussing it from Kamloops to Montreal — and the Blazers will have six more games under their belts.

Not all players will make the final leg of that trip from Prince Albert to Kamloops after the final game on December 14.

Some will leave after the game in P.A. and head home for Christmas.
