MEGHAN MARKLE HIGHLIGHTS HIGHER EDUCATION: Megan Markle and Prince Harry are taking it easy on royal duties during the holidays, but are still finding time to highlight causes close to their heart. To mark Higher Education Day, Meghan wrote of her patronage, the Association of Commonwealth Universities: “Today, on World Access to Higher Education Day, we are able to celebrate the vital role that colleges and universities play in society and how important it is for all people, regardless of gender or socioeconomic background, to have the opportunity to access this higher education. The value of this cannot be understated. Because education expands mindsets, and those minds can then expand the scope of the world at large. From a micro to a macro level, it is with education that we see great change.” The royal mom concluded, “I am proud to be patron of the ACU and all that it stands for, as we champion those seeking a higher education and commit to making this world a better place – together.”

SILAS GAITHER ARRESTED: Former Survivor contestant Silas Gaither was arrested Monday on charges of rape and aggravated assault, TMZ reports. Gaither is being charged in an alleged incident dating back to 2018. He has reportedly been released on $50K bail.

They stuck by each other’s sides the entire night,” a source tells E! News. “Tyler was holding Stassie at one point and they were dancing. They were chatting the entire night, whispering in each other’s ears and Tyler grabbed Stassie’s face at one point for a kiss.” They’re “definitely hooking up,” though TBD if it will lead to more. Cameron recently called it quits with Gigi Hadid after two months of dating.

GLENN CLOSE’S DOG STEALS THE SHOW: Laurie Anderson was among the A-listers at John Cameron Mitchell and Glenn Close‘s eight-hour listening party at the IFC Center for their podcast, Anthem: Homunculus. Also in attendance: Pip, Close’s dog, who is almost as well known as Close. Page Six reports that attendees were as transfixed with puppy Pip as they were with Anthem.

MIKE ‘THE SITUATION’ SORRENTINO’S SHOCKING WEIGHT LOSS: when Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was released from prison in September, he shocked his family with his new body. The Jersey Shore star lost 30 pounds, he told People, explaining: “Everyone was shocked when they first saw me. They said I looked like it was 2009 again. They were practically crying when they saw me.” He’s kept it up, hitting the gym multiple times a week and doing intermittent fasting most days. “I didn’t think that I was going into this shape again. KIM FIELDS STILL MORTIFIED BY WARDROBE FAIL: Kim Fields recalled the “embarrassing moment” when she had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, starring Will Smith. She told the Chicago Tribune: “So I was going into the little fake bathroom on the set to do the quick change while Will was doing his quick change on camera, where he’s ripping off his clothes and throwing shoes and just going a million miles an hour to get ready for what’s supposed be our honeymoon night. And he kept getting faster and faster with the wardrobe change. After we did a few takes, the costumer said, ‘You know, it’ll buy me some time if we don’t button the skirt, if you just zip it up.’ The skirt had a zipper, then a button at the top. And I said, ‘OK.’ And on the next take, we didn’t button the skirt, we just zipped it.” She continued: “So Will and I are doing our dialogue right before I leave to do this quick change. And all of a sudden I feel this draft around my legs and I’m like, ‘Why is it so cold all of a sudden?'” the Facts of Life star said. “And I looked down and my skirt had fallen completely around my ankles. It was gone. There was no moment of I feel it slipping and I can catch it. Oh, no. It was gone. Around my ankles. And thank God I’m so short that the blazer that I was wearing covered my, uh, my treasure.” Busted on camera, the scene was used during the bloopers portion following the episode.
