Highway 1 closed near Spences Bridge due to weather-related crash

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — Emergency crews are responding to a crash involving at least two commercial vehicles north of Spences Bridge.
E-Division Traffic Services spokesperson Cpl. Mike Halskov says the crash is a weather-related and road condition-related crash.
No injuries have been reported and the highway has been closed to traffic while crews sand and salt the road, and while the affected vehicles are towed.
Halskov says conditions south of Cache Creek are treacherous due to a winter storm pattern that has moved through the area, and drivers are urged to drive to conditions.
