Wolfpack basketball splits with UNBC, women’s volleyball streak ends at UBC

KAMLOOPS — A big night for TRU Wolfpack sports Friday (Nov. 22).

The women’s basketball team scored a dramatic 68-66 win over UNBC to move to 5-and-2 on the season.

TRU’s fifth win represents one more than the team scored all last season.

The men’s basketball team was also in a close game, though it found itself on the losing end, 78-76 to the Timberwolves.

That snaps the Wolfpack’s three-game win streak.

Women’s Volleyball also saw their winning streak snapped last night. They played at UBC, losing 3-sets-to-1.

The 10th-ranked Wolfpack are now 7-and-2 on the season, while the eighth-ranked UBC Thunderbirds are 6-and-3.

And the Wolfpack swim team is in eighth place after opening day at the Canada West championships in Lethbridge.
