LEGASSIC: Making time for yourself — and your mental health — during the holidays
KAMLOOPS — I’m fully prepared to get the “it’s too early to think about Christmas!” comments — but I like to be prepared well in advance.
Also, full disclosure, I love Christmas. By mid-November, I am all about the holidays. But every year there are things I struggle with around that time: trying not to overspend, over-consume, or create more waste than I need to.
So over the next several weeks I’ll be writing blogs to try and help myself, and hopefully, others, navigate through the holidays.
First on the docket, and in my opinion most important, finding time to take care of yourself and your mental health during the season. I’m not a parent so I can’t begin to imagine how stressful holidays are for those who have little ones.
