KAMLOOPS — Police have arrested a Kamloops woman who`s already facing several charges after she allegedly breached a court order.

In a news release, Southeast District RCMP Cpl. Jesse O`Donaghey says on Nov. 13, Barriere RCMP received information that 48-year-old Bridgette Poore had returned to Barriere, despite a condition laid out in her probation order which prohibited her from being within 10 kilometres of the district.

The probation order was issued in August, O`Donaghey says, following multiple convictions for offences committed in and around the Barriere area, including assault and egging a home.

On Nov. 14, O`Donaghey says, officers from Barriere and the Central Interior Traffic Services attended a home along Yard Road, where they allegedly found Poore inside.

Our officers surrounded and contained the home, after she refused to exit,” said Barriere RCMP Detachment Commander, Cpl. Robert Welsman in the release. “Entry was made into the residence after officers obtained a judicial authorization from the court. Mrs. Poore was taken into police custody without further incident and transported to Kamloops Provincial Court to appear before a judge.”

Poore has been charged with one count of breach of probation and will remain in custody until a Nov. 25 court appearance.
