KAMLOOPS — About 3,200 members of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference have gone on strike, including at the CN Railyard here in Kamloops.

Around 130 members of the local division have been rotating through the picket line since 9:15 p.m. Monday.

The union is calling for safer work conditions. President of Teamsters 855 Division Chris Parkins says long hours and poor scheduling have led to fatigue.
