Stewart takes silver in the shot put at World Para Athletics in Dubai

KAMLOOPS —- Kamloops athlete Greg Stewart has taken silver in the shot put at the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai.

Stewart broke his previous personal best on three of six throws, with a 16.3 on his final throw, the first time he has gone over 16 metres.

The gold medal goes to Josh Cinammo of the U.S., who set a new world record with a throw of 16.8.
