KAMLOOPS — Police in Terrace are investigating after the suspicious death of a Kamloops man.

In a news release, Terrace RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says police responded to a report of an intoxicated pedestrian on Highway 16 E at roughly 1:45 a.m. on Nov. 10. Police were not able to locate the man.

A few hours later, police were dispatched to a report of a man in the roadway on Thornhill Frontage Road parallel to the north side of Highway 16. Officers attended and found an unresponsive man who was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Evelyn says Kamloops man Blaine Frisk was pronounced dead later that day, and he’s the same man from the call received around 1:45 a.m.

Police are asking the public to contact Terrace RCMP if they have dash camera footage of Highway 16 and its parallel roads between midnight and 5:00 a.m. along the strip between Highway 37 and the Thornhill sign, had any contact with Frisk after 1:00 a.m., or have any more information about the night’s events involving Frisk.

Call (250) 638-7400 and reference file 19-12330 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477 if you have any information.
