One dead after reported shooting in Houston, B.C.

HOUSTON, B.C. — North District RCMP are investigating after a homicide in Houston.

Spokesperson Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says in a news release that Houston RCMP were called to a residence on Cataline Court in that community Sunday afternoon (Nov. 10) at about 4:18 p.m. They were told a shooting had occurred.

Responding officers found a man dead and confirmed it was the result of a homicide.

There is no word whether RCMP have identified or arrested a suspect, but Saunderson says the incident appears to be isolated and officers don’t believe the public is at further risk.

RCMP E-Division’s Major Crime Section has now taken charge of the investigation.
