KAMLOOPS — Corryn Brown of Kamloops made it to the semi finals of the Grand Slam of Curling Tier 2 challenge last night in Nova Scotia.

Brown dropped an 8-5 decision to Jestyn Murphy of Mississauga. Murphy meets Min Ji Kim of Korea in today’s final.

Brown was close throughout but couldn’t come up with the big end late to take the win. Brown allowed Murphy to steal three in the first end, and from then it was a come-from-behind battle. Brown had the hammer in the final end but was unable to put the big end together to get the win, allowing Murphy to steal another.

Brown had won her quarter-final 8-2 over Suzanne Birt of Charlottetown to advance to last night’s sem-final.
