Queen Elizabeth is Switching it Up

Queen Elizabeth is keeping with the times, deciding that she will no longer be wearing real fur. Her longtime dressed Angela Kelly details the decision in her memoir, saying she will only be using faux fur in her winter ensembles. The memoir also mentions that the queen does her own makeup all but one day a year: the day of her Christmas special.

Animal rights organizations are praising the queen, hoping that her choice may encourage the rest of England to follow suit. The executive director of the Humane Society International doubled down, adding “We are calling on the British Government to follow Her Majesty’s example and make the UK the first country in the world to ban the sale of animal fur.”
