Kamloops car dealerships team up for donation towards B.C. Wildlife Park x-ray fundraiser
KAMLOOPS — A number of Kamloops car dealerships have teamed up to pitch in money for the B.C. Wildlife Park’s x-ray machine goal.
Thursday (Nov. 7), Kamloops Ford Lincoln, Smith Chevrolet, Kamloops Hyundai, and Knight Rivershore Ram donated $3,400 to the park, which was raised from the dealerships’ 72-hour car sale held earlier in October.
Representatives from each dealership presented the BC Wildlife Park with the cheque Thursday afternoon, which will be put towards fundraising efforts for a portable x-ray machine for the Fawcett Family Wildlife Health Centre.
According to the park’s website, a used portable x-ray machine can cost about $38,000, so the facility needs plenty of donations to be able to afford a machine for the health centre. For more information and to donate, click here.
