Stolen vehicle leads to Salmon Arm arrests
KAMLOOPS — Police have two suspects in custody following the seizure of a vehicle stolen in Richmond last month.
Staff Sergeant Scott West of the Salmon Arm RCMP says they located a stolen Audi on a property in Salmon Arm on Sunday. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Richmond October 27th. A man and woman, both from B.C., were arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle.
Both the suspects have a record for property crime offences and are known to police. The man had been released on conditions in late October on an unrelated charge, and the woman was also on court-ordered conditions in relation to property crimes offences.
Police searched the property where the vehicle was located and discovered a substantial amount of property believed to have been stolen. The property included garden equipment, several mountain bikes, golf clubs and a boat motor, among other things. Police are now looking to find the owners.
