KAMLOOPS — (NOTE: This story has been updated here.)

Police in the Shuswap are investigating two suspicious deaths in Anglemont.

RCMP Southeast District spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in an email to CFJC Today that two people were found dead inside a home in a rural area in Anglemont.

Unconfirmed social media reports last night suggested the victims may have been shot, but police have not confirmed that.

BC Emergency Health Services says paramedics were called at 3:39 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 5), to an unknown situation.

Paramedics arrived and were held back while police investigated the scene.

“Our crews remained until they were cleared by attending RCMP at 12:30 a.m.,” BC EHS says in an email. “No patients were transported. This is now a matter with police and the BC Coroner’s Service.”

At this point, there’s no indication of any arrests being made in connection to the deaths, or any suspects.
