Old Navy comes ashore to Aberdeen Mall

KAMLOOPS — The clothing retailer Old Navy is coming to Kamloops.

According to City of Kamloops building permit applications listed on its website, Aberdeen Mall applied for a permit on October 31 in order to make improvements for the Gap-owned clothing store.

The mall is filling a vacancy left with the nationwide closure of Sears stores.

Previously, Old Navy’s nearest location was Orchard Park Mall in Kelowna.

Another clothing retailer, Marshall’s has already announced it will be located in part of the former Sears store.

Permit applications also show the mall is making alterations to accommodate a Fresh St. Market grocery store.

This will be the fifth location for the supermarket chain, after West Vancouver, Whistler and two locations in Surrey.
