Kamloops’ Brooke Wills wins CFR barrel racing

KAMLOOPS — Brooke Wills from Kamloops is the Canadian barrel racing champion for 2019.

Wills won the Canadian Finals in Red Deer on Sunday, moving all the way up from 12th place after the first round to a 14.251 in the 6th and final round to clinch the title.

Wills had total earnings of $60,657.37, including $25,019.37 season and $35,640 in CFR round and aggregate

Yesterday’s win will qualify Wills for the 2020 Calgary Stampede.
