Future of Kamloops ALS Walk in doubt
KAMLOOPS — The annual Walk to End ALS in Kamloops may be in jeopardy unless someone steps up to the plate to coordinate the event next June.
A news release from the B.C. Society says the walk has been coordinated the past 10 years by local volunteers with help from the B.C. office. The society says they have a number of long-term volunteers in place to help, but they are in desperate need of a coordinator or two co-coordinators.
If the 2020 walk is to go ahead as planned June 20th, a coordinator is needed now to put things together. A final decision on next year’s walk will be made by November 15th. If no coordinator is found, next year’s walk will be cancelled.
