KAMLOOPS — RCMP would like your help tracking down the thieves who targeted a pair of Kamloops ATMs last week.

On Tuesday (Oct. 22) at 3:45 a.m., the culprits smashed the front door of Save-On Foods in Valleyview. Once inside, the masked suspects used a Stihl gas-powered saw to open up the ATM and take cash from inside.

Surveillance video shows the suspects drive away in a white pickup, and RCMP say it had been stolen. It has since been recovered in Kamloops.

The next day at 1:15 a.m., the suspects broke into the Rexall Drugs on Highway 5A in the CityView complex, using the same type of saw to access the ATM and taking cash from within.

Both suspects wore masks and gloves. RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says one was wearing a black hoodie with tan Carhartt pants, while the other was wearing a plaid jacket with snap closures and black pants.

Anyone who knows anything about the thefts is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
