Celebrity Buzz with Jennifer ANiston, Jim Edmonds and Rachel Weisz
JENNIFER ANISTON TALKS FRIENDS PROJECT: In an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday, Jennifer Aniston kissed the host and told her: “You have such soft lips!” DeGeneres replied: “So do you. That’s why I do what I do. No razor burn. Soft lips. Now you can add this to your Instagram.” She also said that a Friends reboot would not happen, but “we would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So, we’re just trying. We’re working on something.” Friends ran from 1994-2004 and became a huge streaming hit recently for Netflix.
JIM EDMONDS DENIES CHEATING: Jim Edmonds is speaking out after rumors that he cheated on his wife Meghan King Edmonds surfaced. Jim reportedly filed for divorce from the Real Housewives of Orange County alum, amid reports that he had a fling with their 22-year-old nanny. The 49-year-old lashed out on social media Monday, writing: “It’s one thing to be accused of something. It’s another thing to be so negligent and so careless, and ruin the lives of innocent young people. I did not sleep with our nanny. She’s not just a nanny, she is someone that we brought into our house and promised to protect and look after while she was in our home. We have been treating and raising this young girl like she is our own child!”
RACHEL WEISZ TO CHANNEL ELIZABETH TAYLOR IN A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP: Rachel Weisz is set to star in A Special Relationship, based on the life of Elizabeth Taylor, and her transformation from actress to activist. The story will be told from the perspective of her good friend and assistant Roger Wall. While Taylor is most known for her multiple marriages, her role as an AIDS activist was arguably more central to her true persona. “Audiences are clearly fascinated by the private lives of iconic Hollywood stars,” said Canning and Sherman in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “There is no one more iconic than Elizabeth Taylor, and Simon Beaufoy has written a role that shines a light on Elizabeth’s humor and humanity which will be beautifully brought to life through the extraordinary talents of Rachel Weisz. At its heart, A Special Relationship is a story of friendship and what better way of guaranteeing that translates to the screen than trusting the directing talents of real-life best friends and creative collaborators Bert & Bertie. Troop Zero dazzled audiences at Sundance and, like that film, A Special Relationship is a celebration of how friendships can change people’s lives, and how Elizabeth helped change the world.”
DID KATE AND WILLIAM HAVE A MARRIAGE PACT? Kate Middleton and Prince William discussed marriage while they were dating in order to take the pressure off of themselves and make sure they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. In royal correspondent Katie Nicholl‘s new book, Kate: The Future Queen, she writes: “There on the paradise island, William promised Kate that he was in the relationship for the long term. For the very first time, they talked seriously about marriage, and with the ocean before them and beneath the night sky, they made a pact to marry.” The pair did split temporarily after they made that pact, but all’s well that ends well, and they got married in 2011 and now share three children.
