KAMLOOPS — After a successful season, today (Oct. 26) St. Paul Street will host the final outdoor Saturday Farmers’ Market for this year in Kamloops.

Market Manager Greg Unger says it was a fun season for the markets, and vendor attendance made it the largest market series ever.

“Our busiest day we had 104 vendors in attendance which is so cool that we cracked 100,” he says, “I want to see it keep getting bigger and better. I love the crowd when the come out as well, we had some record attendance this year as well. So thanks to everyone in Kamloops for coming to the market.”

“Some highlights- we had a lot of great musical acts come and play, we were participating in the Buskers Festival again this year, Tomato festival was a lot of fun. There was always something entertaining happing at market this year.”

After today, the 8:30-12:30 Saturday markets are wrapped up for this year, but Unger says there is one more outdoor Wednesday market left.

“After that we’re going to be moving indoors to St. Andrews on the Square at 159 Seymour Street,” Unger says, “We’ll be there November and December right up until Christmas, and then we’re going to take a four week vacation, and resume mid-January until the end of March.”

Wednesday market hours will be a little shorter, with the sales held from 10 am to 2 pm.
