Fire destroys three vehicles at local auto dealership

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire and Rescue had to deal with a fire on 8th Street this morning that had the potential to be much more serious if fire crews hadn’t been able to respond quickly.
Crews were called out just after 6:00 AM this morning (Fri. Oct 25) to Country Auto on 8th Street. When initial crews arrived, they found three vehicles fully involved. There had been an explosion at one point, likely in one of the vehicles’ gas tanks. The vehicles were fairly close to the office structure, but it’s believed it survived.
Crews were able to put the fires out before they spread further.
