GOTHAM AWARDS NOMINATIONS DROP: Nominations for the 29th Gotham Awards have arrived. A24 and Netflix were the big winners. The Farewell, Uncut Gems and The Last Black Man in San Francisco scoring a leading three noms apiece overall, as did Netflix‘s Marriage Story. The Awards will be handed out on December 2nd.

SYLVESTER STALLONE SETS ONE NIGHT FEATURE DOC SERIES: Sylvester Stallone‘s Balboa Productions has formed a partnership dubbed One Night, with rising sports streaming outlet DAZN. The partnership will kick off with a series of feature documentaries about boxing, though other sports narratives will be included. One Night: Joshua vs. Ruiz will premiere Wednesday, November 20 on DAZN and the DAZN YouTube channel. The streaming service will launch for $20 a month.

GRETA GERWIG ON LITTLE WOMEN: Greta Gerwig, 36, recently opened up to a British BAFTA member audience following one of the first screenings of her second feature film as a director, Little Women. She said: “We [Americans] have just two: Little Women and Moby Dick. And I wasn’t interested in making Moby Dick.” She added: “As a girl who wanted to be a writer, Jo March was my North Star.” The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep.

DARREN CRISS SETS BROADWAY RETURN: The Emmy and Golden Globe winner Darren Criss is joining Laurence Fishburne and Sam Rockwell in the David Mamet revival of American Buffalo. Criss will next be seen starring with Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Woody Harrelson and Mandy Moore in Roland Emmerich‘s World War II drama Midway, opening Nov. 8.
