Climate activist Greta Thunberg pops into Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, known for her stern lecture at the United Nations and determined advocacy for decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, stopped in Kamloops Wednesday (Oct. 23).
In a social media post, Kamloops resident Angie Halas described meeting Thunberg at the Tourism Kamloops office on Hillside Way.
The 16-year-old Thunberg and her travelling party were using the Tesla chargers at the Tourism Kamloops parking lot.
Thunberg is on her way to the Lower Mainland, where she will lead a climate strike Friday (Oct. 25).
