Celebrity Buzz with Naomi Campbell, Kylie and Jessica Biel
NAOMI CAMPBELL REMEMBERS LESS DIVERSE TIME: Naomi Campbell is arguably THE face of fashion, but during a WSJ Tech Live conference, she can recall being the only black model in a sea of whiteness. And re: casting diverse faces just for diversity, Campbell says she’s seen some “red flags” of that recently: “I’m not gonna call people out and I have to believe that everybody is coming from a good place. We’ll discover as we go along-we will know who is doing it for the token and who is doing it for real.” But she adds that sometimes, tokenism is actually even a step in the right direction. Just look at her: “I know what it’s like to be the token and it wasn’t a good feeling to have to always be the only black model in a show of 70 girls. It was uncomfortable. I didn’t like it. … [But] if I said no, there’d be none. It was a rock between a hard place.”
PETE DAVIDSON + KAIA GERBER? Serial romancer Pete Davidson was spotted leaving supermodel Kaia Gerber‘s apartment Wednesday, Page Six reports. Davidson recently split from Once Upon a Time star Margaret Qualley; before that, he date Kate Beckinsale and was engaged to Ariana Grande.
KYLIE AND STASSIE GET SAME SURGERY: Kylie Jenner and BFF Stassie Karanikolaou got matching surgery because this is the world we live in now. The pair got twinning Lasik procedures to perfect their eyesight. Stassie, natch, shared truly disturbing video of the post-procedure duo, showing them barely able to open their peepers. Then threw a party to celebrate their “birthday of sight,” wearing matching latex dresses featuring big eyeballs on them.
JESSICA BIEL’S TRUE FEELINGS ON NSYNC REVEALED: *Blushing* It seems Jessica Biel did not think highly of her now-husband Justin Timberlake‘s earliest musical efforts. Appearing on The Tonight Show Tuesday, the star was confronted with video footage proving her distaste for the Timberlake-fronted NSYNC. “To be honest, I don’t really listen,” she said in the 1999 clip when asked if she’s a fan of the “Tearin’ Up My Heart” group. “I mean, I know of them, of course, and I’ve heard of them and I’ve heard the music. I don’t think I own any of their CDs. I’m not a huge fan. But, I mean, cool, I guess.” She responded to the footage: “I’m so screwed now.”
