Kamloops players figure into B.C.’s first win at WHL Cup

KAMLOOPS —- The WHL Cup began today in Calgary.
Two players from Kamloops are on Team B.C..
Goaltender Kolby Hay, an Edmonton Oil Kings bantam draft pick, and Portland Winterhawks prospect Carter Streek.
Both figured in B.C.’s first game 6-4 win over Saskatchewan.
Streek scored the sixth and insurance goal, while Hay stopped 24 of 28 Saskatchewan shots.
The WHL Cup features the highest rated players in the Under-16 age category on four western provincial teams.
