How, where, and when to vote on federal election day in Kamloops

Oct 20, 2019 | 3:14 PM

KAMLOOPS — It’s federal election day across Canada tomorrow (Oct. 21), and voters will be casting their ballots throughout the day.

In Kamloops, polls will be open from 7 a.m to 7 p.m for area residents to vote. Given that it is a federal election, voters must go to their assigned polling station, which is stated in the voter information card sent by mail, or online at elections.ca.

To vote in the federal election, residents have to prove their identity and address, and are asked to bring a form of identification.

The City of Kamloops is also offering free transit fares for people who need a ride to their polling station. Routes and scheduling can be accessed through BC Transit’s website.

For complete election coverage, continue monitoring CFJC Today for updates online, on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and tune in to CFJC TV tomorrow evening with Bill O’Donovan as the voting period comes to a close.
