KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers extended their win and shutout streak defeating the Vancouver Giants 6-0.

Logan Stankoven opened the scoring with his fourth of the season from Martin Lang and Montana Onyebuchi at 6:03 of the first period.

Just over two minutes later and on the power play, Connor Zary won a faceoff to set up Zane Franklin for his fourth of the season. With the assist, Zary extended his points streak to the first eleven games of the season.

Before the first was over, they’d add another one — Quinn Schmiemann from Franklin and Caedan Bankier.

Martin Lang scored the only goal of the second from Schmiemann and Stankoven on the power play.

At 1:28 of the third Franklin would score his second of the game and another one on the power play from Max Martin and Martin Lang.

Exactly a minute later and again on the power play, Franklin would complete his hattrick with the assists to Ryan Hughes and Connor Zary.

The Blazers went 4-for-8 on the power play while their top-rated penalty kills in the league held Vancouver to 0-for-6. Dylan Garand made 23 saves for the Blazers second consecutive shutout.
