Blazers break Broncos, Ramsay picks up first WHL shutout

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers improved their record to 6-4 on the season, as they tamed the Swift Current Broncos 4-0 on Tuesday night in Kamloops.

Martin Lang opened the scoring for Kamloops, and that goal would prove to be the game-winner, as Rayce Ramsay picked up his first WHL shutout in just his second start of the year.

Connor Zary kept his hot streak alive, as he picked up a pair of assists on Orrin Centazzo’s two goals in the second period. Josh Pillar added the exclamation, as he one-timed home a feed from Brodi Stuart late in the third period.

The victory was the Blazers’ third in a row and sixth in the last seven games after they opened their season with a trio of losses.

Kamloops is at home for a pair of games this weekend, as they welcome the Vancouver Giants to town Friday, then take on the Kelowna Rockets at Sandman Centre on Saturday night.
