Radio host gobbles through sizable turkey for Kamloops Food Bank donations

KAMLOOPS — It’s not your standard eating contest.

Chris Roach, Afternoon Host of 98.3 CIFM, has been working his way through a 20-lb. turkey this afternoon (Oct. 9), for a good cause.

To raise money for the Kamloops Food Bank ahead of its busy Thanksgiving weekend, the radio host pledged to finish the 20-lb. bird himself.

The bet was if Roach finishes, Save-On Foods would donate to the food bank, and if he doesn’t, the Broadcast Centre will donate instead.
